WEEK ONE
DAY ONE:
What´s innovation?:
Brainstorming ideas
Students write their own definitions (in pairs).
Definition: Oxford dictionary. Comparing definitions.
Videos:
Website: thebetterindia.com “26 innovations by school students that will blow your mind away”. Students have to choose two innovations and explain/draw them.
DAY TWO:
Group Work
Group One:
This group starts working on the PPT. They invent a short story in order to introduce the topic.
Group Two:
Students work on positives and negatives of innovations: benefits and side effects/drawbacks.
They do online research and complete a chart.
Groups 3 and 4:
These groups work on how schools/countries Will be in 2030. They draw/write their ideas.
DAY THREE:
The class is divided in small teams (two-three students). Each team is in charge of doing 1/2 PPT slides for the Presentation.
The presentation will be organized in 5 different steps:
Introduction: short story
Definitions: student´s definitions and dictionary definitions
Benefits and side effects
Innovation at school
School/country in 2030.
DAY FOUR:
Students finished the presentation with the teacher´s help.
Students started preparing artistic material for the classroom´s notice board.
WEEK TWO
DAY ONE
The teacher presented the SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: story and videos
Group work: 4 groups.
Group one: Innovation and infrastructure
Group two: Responsible consumption
Group Three: Renewable energy
Group Four: Sustainable cities and communities
Each group worked with the concept of their specific goal. They had to think of an innovative idea/invention and write down their ideas.
DAY TWO
Each group constructed a prototype of their invention.
GROUP 1: “Dessert Bubble” for people who need to rest, eat and drink water.
GROUP 2: Recycling paper Robot “Bovly”
GROUP 3: Electric and Solar Car
GROUP 4: Sustainable Classroom
WEEK THREE
Day One:
As a group we discussed about transforming one of the group´s ideas into a real prototype with the objective of creating it.
We all agreed that the ideas of groups 1, 2 and 3 are not achievable without engineering´s help. We took the decision of creating prototypes for the idea of group 4: CREATING A SUSTAINABLE CLASSROOM.

Vegetable garden
Recycling paper
Day Two:
Students were divided in 3 groups. Each student had a specific role:
M) managers
D) designers
T) Time keepers
C) communicators
Each group worked on the creation of a 3d model for our 3 ideas.
